iKON recommends all customers upon and prior to purchase, research local regulations and laws. It is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to comply with all laws and regulations. iKON waives all liability regulations when the customer is using the iKON board.
Safety Precautions
While the customer is using (and enjoying) the iKON board, we suggest wearing helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and any other protection gear available. Customer must be certain they are abiding by all applicable laws and regulations while using the board. Some areas may have restriction on use of electric skateboards on streets and sidewalks. Use extreme caution when traveling where traffic may occur. Pregnant women and young children should defer from riding an iKON board. It is not suggested Elderly ride an electric skateboard. Please refrain from use of electric skateboard if under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. iKON boards are considered an electric motor vehicle, and you could potentially be arrested for driving under the influence.
It is optimal for legs to be relaxed with knees slightly bent when riding the iKON board as it helps with balance for uneven ground and pavement. Feet must be on the board at all times when riding the board. Do not use sudden acceleration or deceleration when riding the board as it can possibly lead to serious injury. When customer is riding the board and needing to make turns, adjust body’s center of gravity slowly to ensure balance is maintained at all times. While the iKON Edge is IP57 waterproof, take caution when in wet conditions as the board’s normal riding conditions may alter.
