iKON Warranty and Return Policy

Satisfaction is our priority. If you are not satisfied with your products (purchased through ikonboards.com), we have a 30 day-from-delivery date return policy. A $175 restocking fee is applicable with all returns, which will be subtracted from the purchase price. iKON will provide a refund once we have received the merchandise and confirmed our stipulations for return policies.Shipping costs and restocking fee will be subtracted from the price the customer receives from the refund. Our stipulations for return policy will be described further below. The returned products must meet our discretion before a refund will be issued. The product must be received through transit prior to the 30 days of delivery of the product initially. iKON is not responsible for the recovery from the customer or a third-party (shipping companies, etc.) and the customer must acknowledge and agree if the board is not returned within the 30-day-span of delivery to return date, the customer will not be eligible for refunds. If the product is damaged iKON reserves the right to deny the return. If you are interested in returning your purchase (that was made through iKONboards.com) follow the steps below to begin the process:

 

1. Contact our staff through our live-support chat or via our ticket support system (https://ikonboards.com/support)

and obtain authorization for product return eligibility. We will walk you through the steps through the direct conversation on what is needed/applicable/etc. Remember, we have sole discretion within these 30 days.

2. Once acceptance of the return has been confirmed, create a shipping label with the address provided through contact support, labeled IKON Innovations LLC.

3. Carefully package the electronic skateboard with all original packaging and all included chargers/tools provided initially. Customer must ensure to the best of their capabilities the board will not be damaged through transit. Ship the product through your preferred local carrier.

4. Once the iKON board has been received, we will conduct a thorough investigation of the board’s welfare. We will verify and confirm return process and send via email, a refund confirmation with the restocking fee subtracted. ($175)

 

Warranty Claims for Returning Products:

iKON Boards are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a 6 month period from the date of shipment once purchased. If a defect occurs during the period of warranty, the company will do one of the following: A.) Repair the affected product at no charge using new parts or parts equivalent to new in performance and reliability, B.) Exchange the affected products with functionally equivalent products that are new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability WITH the customer’s consent or C.) iKON will refund the original purchase price for the affected products.

The warranty excludes but not limited to, the following:

Normal depletion of consumable parts unless failure has occurred due to defect in materials or workmanship

Damage resulting from abuse or accidents

Unauthorized repairs

Other causes that are not related to material defects or workmanship

No other party is authorized to modify the limited warranty as described. 

This warranty is offered in addition to rights and remedies conveyed by consumer protection laws and regulations that cannot be statutorily waived, and does not affect your applicable statutory rights.

Once authorized, we will send a pre-paid shipping label via email and customer must pack the product with original packaging to ensure safety during transit. iKON will provide a return shipment tracking number once the product has been fixed.

 

“Waterproof” Boards

The iKON EDGE is waterproof with a Ip57 rating but, there is always a risk of water damage because of the use of electronic parts. If a part of the board is damaged or any other circumstance allows water to come in contact with electronic parts, there is a possibility for permanent damage. Damages of this nature are NOT covered under this warranty. iKON will do everything possible to assure your product can be fixed with the expense of parts/labor.  iKON also stresses that any product we sell should not be exposed to excessive amounts of water. (Just think of it as a peace of mind feature, not a party trick.)

To prevent liquid damage, avoid these:

Swimming or bathing with your iKON BOARD
Exposing your iKON Board to pressurized water or high velocity water, such as when showering, water skiing, wake boarding, surfing, jet skiing, and so on
Using your iKON Board in a sauna or steam room.
Intentionally submerging your iKON BOARD in water
Operating your iKON Board outside the suggested temperature ranges or in extremely humid conditions
Dropping your iKON Board or subjecting it to other impacts
Disassembling your iKON Board beyond the trucks and motor assembily, this means removing screws from heat sink plate.

iKON offers replacement parts if the issue occurs post-warranty period OR if the issue that occurs is considered a warranty exclusion. iKONCARE VITAL is a extended 2 year warranty!  All coverage correlates to the coverage listed in the warranty above. This level of care is available during checkout currently. This will be attached to your order. Please retain the receipt received from your order! It will be used as evidence of purchase date as well as the care level attached to your product.

Elite

(Accidental Damage Coverage)

iKONCARE ELITE is a accidental insurance policy that will protect you in many different cases of damage to your iKON board. We are not yet selling this policy but it will be available soon!
